Our mission: "Implement Clearcase based Enterprise SCM ( Software Configuration
Management) system in a short time , meeting CMMi-2 requirements & help companies
to promote the importance / usage of SCM system within their organization to realize the
ROI."
History & Geography of GSE: started in 2006 in Singapore; but our Principal
Consultant is working in SCM domain from 1998 onwards mainly using IBM-Rational
Clearcase ( & multisite) as the SCM tool apart from Clearquest as a Defect tracking tool.
At present we have single-digit number of employees and few partners in Singapore &
India. Our competitive advantage is our global network of partnership and experienced
consultants, our customers and clients.
Why SCM ? Companies have understood that SCM is an important part of SDLC cycle as
the overall Software industry has matured over the last couple of years.
"why I need a SCM system ; it might impose lots of conditions , rules and controls; I know my
code and I know how to change it! - An experienced developer.
Nowadays development is concurrent / parallel & distributed. Because of these reasons
software development is complex. Most of the software development is happening in 2 or
more regions ( NA , EMEA & APAC). Hence SCM is a necessity & mandatory for successful
project management / product development , Release management.
